Hello, visitor!

Article about young girls love older men:
When teenage girls share stories about "dating" much older men, there's often a common thread: they felt they were exceptional — uniquely mature, specially chosen, or deeply understood by these adult men. It's only with the hindsight of adulthood that many now recognize these "relationships" for what they truly were: predatory situations where grown men exploited the vulnerability and inexperience of teenage girls. These dynamics persist, in part, because society has long framed romantic attention from older men as flattering rather than alarming — especially for girls still forming their identities.

It's a harmful narrative, and one we need to keep challenging. After we published previous stories from the BuzzFeed Community, even more women reached out to share their own experiences — often for the first time. Several expressed relief in realizing they weren’t alone, and reflected on how long it can take to fully process what happened. Below are 25 deeply personal stories about how older men groom, manipulate, and take advantage of teenage girls — and the lasting impact those experiences can leave behind: Warning: These stories include mention of sexual assault and abuse. 1. "There was a guy who hung out outside of my old ALL-GIRLS high school (he was 23 years old). When I first started high school, there was a rumor going around that he dates all the 'hot girls.' Being really young, and stupid, and insecure, I was extremely flattered when he wanted to date me. It didn't work out because I wouldn't have sex with him, so he moved on to the next one. and the next one. and the next one." Littleny / Getty Images/iStockphoto. 2. "I was sexting and sent a picture of myself in a bra to an older man. As a child from a dysfunctional home, the attention was exciting and addicting, and I felt so 'mature.' At 16, I ended up dating a 19-year-old — questionable maybe, but I'm grateful that I didn't seek out a deeper relationship with a much, much older man." "It terrifies me for the young girls who are growing up in a more digital-based era than what I was in. With Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, and everybody having a cellphone now, it makes it so much easier to have 'secret relationships' like I did." 3. "I was 18, a freshman in college, and he was 36. I thought I was so cool for having an older boyfriend. What I realize now, at 34, is that I wasn’t cool, he was just creepy. He would introduce me to his friends as his 18-year-old girlfriend. Every time, he would mention my age." Nico_blue / Getty Images/iStockphoto. "Neither he nor any of his friends had anything in common with me. I felt so insecure because they were actual adults, and I wasn’t even old enough to go to a bar." 4. "I was 16, and a friend of my mom's was 29.

He tried to mess around with me some more, but him being married seemed like the icing on the this is messed up cake. Again, guys at my school saw me as the quiet nerd, so if you don’t think your quiet, studious daughter could fall prey to something like this, think again.” —Anonymous, Pennsylvania. 2. “When I was 15, I had a huge crush on a staff member at my Christian summer camp. He was seven years older than me and had just graduated college. When I was 17, he convinced me to attend this college so we could finally be together — but also told me not to talk about him because others wouldn’t understand. When I started college, he was still on staff and would avoid me in person. My sophomore year, when I was 20 and he 27, he asked me out, but we still had to keep it secret since he was concerned about people asking questions. This continued until the end of my junior year when a professor saw us together a few towns over. I got called to the Dean’s office and thought I was in trouble, but they told me that he was fired and asked that I not speak about him to anyone because it would jeopardize my and the school’s reputation.” “We would talk on Instagram when it wasn’t summer and I wasn’t at camp. He made me feel so special. I didn’t even apply anywhere else for college. At college, he said there was an unspoken rule that staff don’t date freshmen. I believed him and waited on him. I was 21 and he was 28 when the professor spotted us. At that point, he was promising we’d get married when I was done with school. I was broken-hearted. I’d spent so many years waiting on this guy and doing everything he said — missing out on normal experiences for someone my age all for me to have to act like it never happened. That was almost 10 years ago, and it has affected my dating life in major ways. It’s a big reason why I completely reject the church now.” —emileem3. 3. “When I was in high school, senior boys hit on freshman girls and kept in touch with us after they graduated — so they’d be in their early twenties flirting with high school girls over AIM. I remember thinking I was ‘so cool’ because two of the cutest former seniors regularly talked to me and had taken me on dates. When one of them took me to a concert, my cousin — who was the same age as them — saw me and was like, ‘Why are you with him here?! He is too old for you!’ At the time, I thought he was being overprotective.” “Looking back now, that is SO creepy. My cousin had every right to be worried. Why could they not take college-aged girls on dates? Moreover, a lot of the boys in my class did the same to freshman girls when we were seniors. It seems like they learned from the men before them. So sad.” Advertisement. Advertisement. Advertisement. Advertisement. —Anonymous, Massachusetts. 4. “I was 18, a freshman in college, and he was 36. I told him I really liked the way he taught his class. Then, he called me to a private place, hugged me, and, in my ear, told me that he’d had dirty dreams about me. It made me feel special. Long story short, I ended up going to his place to have oral sex. I found out later that he had done this same thing with other girls from school.

Honest Answers - Love Advice
Are you interested in a gentleman in his 60s, but you’re not sure what he’s looking for? Here are some honest answers to help you see if you’re the one for him. What Do Men In Their 60s Look For In A Relationship?

Click here for what an older man wants in a relationship

[Honest Answers] Are you interested in an older gentleman? If so, you may wonder what he’s looking for in a relationship. Depending on your age gap, there may be some factors that you need to consider. Contents show. After all, men in their 60s have plenty of experience with past relationships to know what they want. So let’s consider what men in their 60s want. Ideally, they want a partner who will pay attention to them and share similar interests and values. But they’re not solely there for lust, as there’s no doubt that they want friendship involved too. In this article, we’ll be going into further detail about what men in their 60s are looking for and what you should be aware of. They Know What They Want. By the time you reach your 60s, you should have a pretty good idea of what you want in a relationship. So it’s no surprise to find that men in their 60s know exactly what they’re looking for in a relationship. You’ll find that if you want to be in a relationship with an older man, he won’t be willing to play games about your relationship. He’ll immediately let you know what he’s looking for, and if you don’t match those expectations, he’ll tell you. When you’re young, you can take your time to play around, but when you’re in your 60s, you’re aware that the clock is ticking. You might not want to admit it, but these men are perfectly aware of that. So they want to make the most of the time they have to enjoy it. If they’re retired, they may be looking for someone who can travel with them. They might also still have kids at home, so they may want someone who can get along with them. The point is that these men know what they’re looking for, and if you don’t meet them in the middle, they’ll let you know. Similar Interests. Like how many men in their 60s know what they’re looking for in a relationship, they also know that they want someone who shares similar interests (see also “How Do You Know If He’s Interested? [Over 50s Dating]“). Many men in their 60s (see also “Can You Get Married After 60?“) are looking for someone to spend time with them throughout their retirement years. But that doesn’t mean they’re going to settle down. Depending on how they’ve lived their lives, they may have kids who have grown up. Now they may be ready to travel. If they want to travel and you don’t, then you might find that they won’t have as much interest even if the attraction is there. While many people are discovering what they like when they’re younger, most men already know by the time they reach their 60s. Ideally, they’ll be looking for someone to spend time with and are looking for more than a fling. Of course, that’s not to say some men aren’t. But for the most part, men in their 60s want to be with someone they can talk to. Friendship. In many cases, most men above the age of 60 are looking for friendship as well as romance (see also “How To Meet A Man In Your 60s“). They seek an intimate relationship that also includes friendship. It’s difficult enough to make friends when you’re older, but it can feel even more daunting when you reach your 60s.

He a... I'm in love with an older man. I'm 30 and he is 55. I have totally fallen for him and I want to be with him. However, is the age gap too big? I know my parents will be upset. He also has a daughter the same age as me. Would you find this weird. If you're around his age and he was one of your friends what would you think? Am I being stupid? OP posts: See all. If your both single and have the same life goals then I don't see the issues. I shamefully got a serious crush on a man in his mid 50s this year. 10 Things Older Women Interested in Dating a Younger Man Must Know. Dating a younger man as an older woman can be exciting, empowering, and full of new energy—but it’s also a dynamic that comes with unique challenges. This isn’t about outdated stereotypes or society’s judgment.

Click here for younger female dating older man

It’s about understanding what to expect, what works, and what doesn’t when navigating an age-gap relationship from a mature woman’s perspective. Let’s dive into the 10 things every older woman should know before dating a younger man. 1. ???? Age Isn’t Just a Number—But It’s Not Everything Either. The phrase “age is just a number” sounds romantic, but the truth is more nuanced. Age can influence maturity, life experience, long-term goals, and communication styles. That doesn’t mean a relationship can’t work—but you need to acknowledge the gap , not ignore it. What matters more: Emotional intelligence Life compatibility Shared interests and communication. If your ages differ but your values and emotional connection are aligned, that’s far more important than the number on your IDs. 2. ???? Honest Communication Is Non-Negotiable. In age-gap relationships, clear and honest communication is absolutely essential. Assumptions can backfire quickly if you’re not aligned on things like: Where the relationship is going What each of you wants in the next 5–10 years How serious (or casual) the relationship is. Don’t be afraid to have “real” conversations early on. You’re not being pushy—you’re being smart. Pro tip: Talk about values, goals, and lifestyle preferences within the first few dates. 3. ???? Be Aware of the Power Dynamic. Age gaps can sometimes come with an unbalanced dynamic , especially early in the relationship. You may have more life experience, financial stability, or emotional maturity. The key is to create an equal, respectful partnership , not one where either person plays parent or student. Empower your partner to bring their strengths Let go of control and perfectionism. Fall into the trap of teaching, correcting, or leading the relationship alone. 4. ???? Maturity Doesn’t Always Match Age. Don’t assume that someone younger will automatically be immature—or that someone older will always be wiser. Some younger men are highly self-aware, emotionally grounded, and open-minded. Others… not so much. Handles stress Talks about relationships Manages his responsibilities. Judge based on his emotional intelligence , not just his date of birth. 5. ???? Expect Some Social Stigma (And Be Ready to Ignore It) Even in 2025, there’s still some double standard when it comes to older women dating younger men. You might get side-eye from strangers or unsolicited opinions from friends or family. It helps to be prepared. “You’re too old for him.” “Is this just a phase?” “Isn’t he just using you?” You don’t owe anyone an explanation. Confidence is your best defense . ?? Own the relationship. ?? Laugh off the judgment. ?? Let your happiness speak for itself. 6. ?? Don’t Play the “Cool Girl” at the Expense of Your Needs. It can be tempting to downplay your desires to seem easygoing—especially with a younger partner. But suppressing your needs to “keep things fun” will only backfire. Be honest if you: Want a real relationship (not just fun) Need stability, emotional support, or commitment Are looking for shared growth, not just surface-level connection. If he’s serious about you, he’ll step up. If not, you’ve saved yourself time and heartache. 7. ???? You Have More to Offer Than You Think. Insecurity can creep in, especially when you’re dating someone in their 20s or early 30s. But remember— your age is not a weakness. Here’s what you bring to the table: Experience and emotional insight Stability and independence Depth and perspective Confidence and self-awareness. If he’s drawn to you, it’s likely because of those qualities, not despite them. 8. ???? Know What You Want—And Be Clear About It. This isn’t high school—you don’t have time to waste on ambiguity. Before things get deep, get clear about your own desires. Are you open to something serious or keeping it casual? How important is long-term compatibility (kids, career, location)? Do you want someone to grow with—or simply enjoy now? There’s no right answer. Just be honest—with him and with yourself. 9. ????? Think Long-Term (If You Want To) If your relationship starts to grow serious, it’s worth thinking through future compatibility . Here are some questions worth discussing: Will your timelines for life goals align? Is he prepared for a long-term relationship with someone at a different life stage? How will lifestyle differences (energy level, career phase, etc.) impact you down the line? It’s not about planning every detail—but awareness now can prevent pain later. 10. ? Own Your Confidence—It’s Irresistible. The most attractive thing about an older woman in a younger relationship? Self-assurance. Confidence in your body, your experience, your voice, and your life. Apologize for your age Compare yourself to younger women Hide your past or pretend to be someone you’re not. Be proud of where you are in life Let go of unrealistic expectations Be playful, open, and real. You’re not “lucky” to be with someone younger. You’re choosing each other. That’s power. ???????????? Can These Relationships Work Long-Term? Absolutely. Many older woman–younger man relationships thrive—sometimes even more than traditional pairings. According to several relationship studies (including one from the Journal of Sex Research), relationship satisfaction in age-gap couples is often higher , especially when communication and values are strong. Here’s what makes them work: Mutual respect Emotional maturity Shared goals Humor and openness. Yes, it may look unconventional—but when it works, it works beautifully. ? Final Thoughts: Know Yourself First. At the end of the day, dating a younger man should feel exciting, empowering, and enriching—not confusing or self-doubting . If you walk into it with self-awareness, honesty, and clarity—you’re already ahead. So whether you’re testing the waters or already in a happy age-gap relationship, remember: Your age doesn’t define your desirability Your needs are valid and worth honoring Your confidence is your strongest asset.

Learn about the attraction dynamics and how age differences impact relationships. Why Men Prefer Younger Women. When it comes to romantic preferences, the notion of age disparity in relationships often sparks curiosity.

GO TO SITE

While there are many factors that influence the dynamics of attraction, it’s not uncommon for men to prefer younger women as partners. This preference can be influenced by a range of personal, social, and biological factors, reflecting deeper cultural trends and individual desires. It’s important to note that this preference isn’t necessarily an absolute rule, but rather a trend seen in certain individuals based on their values, desires, and personal experiences. 1. Youth and Vitality: The Natural Appeal of Youth. The most common explanation for why some men prefer younger women is the physical appeal associated with youth. Youth is often seen as synonymous with vitality, energy, and beauty, qualities that many men are drawn to. From a biological standpoint, men may be subconsciously influenced by evolutionary instincts. Younger women are often perceived as more fertile and healthy, which can play into deep-seated evolutionary desires for reproduction and family building. In many cultures, youth is celebrated as a symbol of beauty, vigor, and opportunity, making younger women highly attractive to men who prioritize these physical traits. However, it’s important to recognize that a woman’s true value isn’t limited to her physical appearance, many men seeking younger partners do so not only for looks but also for the opportunities to create a future together. 2. A Desire for New Beginnings and Growth. Some men are drawn to younger women because they represent a fresh start—a chance to shape a new future with someone who is open to new experiences. A younger partner may be seen as more open-minded, adventurous, and eager to explore life’s possibilities, which can bring a sense of excitement and growth to the relationship. This contrasts with the idea of an established partner who may already have certain life patterns or habits in place. For many men, younger women offer a sense of freedom and potential. There is often a desire to build a life from the ground up, with both partners growing and developing together. The opportunity to influence and help shape a partner’s worldview and experiences can be a motivating factor. This isn’t necessarily about dominance or control, but rather about shared growth, where both individuals can contribute to each other’s development. 3. Emotional Compatibility and Nurturing Qualities. Another key aspect of why some men are drawn to younger women is the sense of emotional compatibility and nurturing qualities they may possess. Younger women are often perceived as more flexible, willing to learn, and more adaptable in relationships. This can be attractive to men who want to guide a relationship or feel a sense of responsibility toward their partner. While emotional maturity often comes with age, younger women may be seen as more malleable, receptive to influence, and ready to embrace a partner’s guidance. For many men, the desire to be protective and nurturing is amplified in relationships where they feel they can provide the wisdom and stability a younger partner might need. A younger partner might also bring a sense of enthusiasm and openness to the relationship, offering a refreshing energy and perspective. However, it is crucial to recognize that emotional maturity and nurturing instincts are not limited to age. These qualities can be found in women of all ages, and it is essential to approach the idea of emotional compatibility with a balanced viewpoint. 4. Communication and Openness.

Older Men Dating Younger Women: What Does It Mean? Consenting adults come together for many reasons and age isn’t always a factor. Older men may fall for younger women and younger women may sometimes prefer to date older men. While some people may believe the motives behind big age gaps in relationships are always sinister, older men may gravitate toward younger women for many valid reasons, and that may be the case for younger women dating older men, too. Age and consent. This article discusses older men dating younger women where both partners are above the legal age of consent in their state. If both partners are above the legal age of consent, it doesn’t mean consent is implicit. Asking for consent and both people being on the same page is key in any healthy romantic relationship. If you’re below the age of consent and an adult’s behavior is making you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, help is available. You can: Call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 800-656-4673 for confidential, 24/7 support. Visit Stop It Now! for online resources or reach out to their helpline at 888-773-8368 . Visit Childhelp for resources to handle and report abuse or to chat live with someone who can help. Why does anybody want to date someone else? There are infinite possibilities. The vulnerability of young girls has made the older-men-dating-younger-women stereotype a predatory one. While it’s true that some men may consider younger women easy targets for manipulation or control, there are less sinister reasons an older man may be drawn to someone younger. Sometimes it just happens. You fall in love with the person and overlook their age. Other times, it’s actually the energy, appearance, and life perspective of a younger woman that may be attractive to an older man. In some instances, the intention may not be a healthy one. Every case is different. Ancestral practices. A 2020 large-scale replication study examined mate preferences across 45 countries. Researchers found that most men placed a higher emphasis on appearance when it came to choosing a partner. The reason behind it isn’t necessarily vanity. Primitive humans seemed to have selected mates based on reproductive success. Features like youth, symmetrical bone structure, and wide hips in females were viewed as signs of overall health and vitality, which would ensure species survival. On some level, the ancestral and instinctual attraction to such features may remain in both Eastern and Western cultures, as noted by a large international study from 2020. This could be a reason why men, in general, may be attracted to younger women. Long-standing traditions.

As a relationship expert with over 20 years of experience in understanding age gap relationships, I have delved into the psychology behind this preference. Contrary to popular belief, it's not solely about looks or physical attraction. Older men are drawn to younger women because they believe these women have opinions that aren't fully formed yet. They see themselves as wise and experienced, someone who can guide and shape their partner's thoughts. But it's not just about admiration or power dynamics. Age gap relationships offer a fresh perspective on life. Younger women bring a carefree attitude that can alleviate the stress and anxieties that come with aging. They remind older men of their own youthful days, sparking a sense of nostalgia and vitality. Societal perceptions often cast a negative light on age gap relationships?labeling them as taboo or inappropriate. But why is that?Is it rooted in ageism or fear of judgment? The truth is?societal norms dictate what is considered acceptable?and these norms often overlook the genuine connection and love between two individuals. Now, you might wonder if all men prefer younger women. The answer is no. Preferences vary from person to person. While some are attracted to youthfulness and vitality?others seek compatibility based on shared interests and values. Love isn't solely defined by age, it's a matter of the heart finding its perfect match. In the next section?we will debunk common myths surrounding dating younger women and explore the dynamics of successful age gap relationships. Stay tuned for insights that will challenge your preconceived notions and shed light on the complexities of love and age. So?why do older men prefer younger women?Let's dive in and find out. The Psychology Behind Men Dating Younger Women. The psychology behind men dating younger women is a fascinating subject that delves into the intricacies of human behavior and desires. While it might seem perplexing to some, there are several factors at play that contribute to this preference. As a relationship expert with extensive experience in understanding dynamics?I have gained insights into why some men are drawn to dating younger women. One reason is the rebound effect. Many older men who have experienced a rough divorce or a bitter fallout with their significant other may seek solace in the company of younger women. Dating someone younger can provide a sense of revitalization and help them move on from their experiences. Another factor is the desire for experimentation. Younger women often possess a carefree and adventurous attitude towards life, which can be enticing for men who crave new experiences. The youthful energy and willingness to try new things can be invigorating for older men seeking excitement and novelty. For some men?the lack of commitment pressure associated with dating younger women is appealing. There is a belief that younger women are more inclined towards short-term relationships, aligning with their own desires for less commitment. This mutual understanding can create an ideal dynamic for both parties involved. Additionally?societal factors can come into play. Men who have grown up in traditionally patriarchal settings may be attracted to younger women who embody traditional gender roles. These men may find satisfaction in fulfilling the role of provider and protector?while younger women appreciate being taken care of. Moreover, older men often enjoy the feeling of being respected and listened to by younger women. The admiration and attention they receive can boost their self-esteem and make them feel more in control. The Psychology Behind Men Dating Younger Women. Rebound from a bitter experience ?Older men who have gone through a tough divorce or fallout may date younger women as a way to bounce back. Desire for experimentation ?Younger women are often more open to trying new things?making them appealing to men seeking adventure. Less commitment pressure : Some men believe that younger women are more inclined towards short-term relationships?which aligns with their own desires. As we explore the psychology behind men dating younger women, it is important to note that these preferences are not universal. Not all men prefer younger women, as personal tastes and preferences vary from individual to individual. However?understanding these underlying psychological factors can shed light on why some men gravitate towards age gap relationships. Now that we've understood the psychology?let's look at how society views these relationships. Societal Perceptions of Age Gap Relationships. Society's view is one thing?but how do these relationships actually work?Let's find out. When it comes to relationships?age has always been a topic of intrigue and fascination. And perhaps one of the most intriguing aspects is the preference that some men have for younger women. It's a phenomenon that has sparked numerous discussions and debates. As a relationship expert with over 20 years of experience, I've delved into the complexities of age gap relationships and the psychology behind men's preference for younger women. Societal perceptions play a significant role in shaping our views on age gap relationships. Unfortunately, these perceptions are often negative and judgmental. Older men who date younger women may face criticism and be labeled as creepy" or questioned about their motives. The power dynamics between an older man and a younger woman are often scrutinized, leading to assumptions and stereotypes. But why is this the case? One reason for the negative perception is the belief that older men seek younger women for superficial reasons such as physical attractiveness or arm candy. However, this is an oversimplification of a complex issue. While physical attraction may be a factor in any relationship, it should not overshadow the deeper emotional connection that can exist between individuals regardless of age. Another factor contributing to societal negativity is the assumption that there must be a power imbalance in age gap relationships. This assumption overlooks the agency and autonomy of both parties involved. In reality, these relationships can be based on mutual respect, shared values?and genuine love. Benefits of Age Gap Relationships. Opportunity for personal growth and learning from different perspectives High levels of maturity and a lower chance of settling for less than ideal circumstances Building a strong emotional connection through efforts to bridge the age gap Feeling younger and experiencing the sweetness of youthfulness Exploring commonalities?companionship?respect?and trust. Men and women are equally attracted to younger partners, even if they don't consciously realise it, new research has found. A study from the University of California, Davis, found both sexes tend to slightly favour younger individuals when dating. The study involved around 4,500 people participating in blind dates through a US dating site.

The platform matches individuals based on shared interests and the desire for long-term relationships. Lead author Professor Paul Eastwick explained: After a blind date, participants were slightly more attracted to younger partners, and this trend was equally true for men and women." This finding challenges common assumptions that men in established relationships are typically older than their female partners. Women also often express a preference for older partners. However, Professor Eastwick noted, "women’s preferences on the dates themselves revealed something else entirely." The study, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, highlights a disconnect between stated preferences and actual attraction in dating scenarios. Age gap relationships have also been shown in popular culture. In Babygirl, Nicole Kidman plays a high-powered chief executive who has an affair with a much younger intern. Harris Dickinson and Nicole Kidman in ‘Babygirl' ( Niko Tavernise ) “A lot of times women are discarded at a certain period of their career as a sexual being. So, it was really beautiful to be seen in this way,” Kidman told The Hollywood Reporter . “From the minute I read it, I was like, ‘Yeah, this is a voice I haven’t seen, this is a place that I haven’t been, I don’t think audiences have been.’ My character has reached a stage where she’s got all this power, but she’s not sure who she is, what she wants, what she desires, even though she seems to have it all. And I think that’s really relatable.” The study looked at people of all ages, with daters ranging from 22 to 85, who were using the US-based matchmaking company Tawkify. Around half of daters were men and half women, and most people were set up on mixed-sex dates. The researchers also looked at whether women with higher incomes might be inclined to choose younger partners. However, they found very little evidence that income – either their date’s or their own – influenced these women’s (slight) preference for youth, the researchers said. The study did not look at whether romantic attraction on a first date led to longer-term relationships. Prof Eastwick said his study showed that “men and women find youth a little more appealing in initial attraction setting – whether they know it or not.” Join our commenting forum.

Article about girls into older guys:
'Hidden obscenity': Older men grooming teens for sex. But the work of Barnardo's with more than 1,000 young people who have suffered sexual exploitation reveals a more complicated threat, and one that closely reflects the society in which we live. The charity invited the BBC to one of its women's projects, behind a nondescript entrance in a residential street in inner London.

The work done there is highly sensitive and we agreed not to reveal its location. Lorena (not her real name) is 15. She was sexually abused after meeting a man she had been in contact with online. She had been using the internet relatively unsupervised, from an early age - logging on to sites she describes as for older people". "They say come, come, you're beautiful - I want to see you. It's just words." But she admits, she was "forced into a situation". She's understandably reluctant to say more. But the damage done to young minds is obvious. "You feel like you don't want to exist any more," Lorena says. Warning signs. Barnardo's is worried at the number of cases where older men deliberately target, encourage, coerce and then exploit young teenagers. The charity's chief executive, Martin Narey, calls it "a hidden obscenity". "There is an understandable tendency to believe this happens very rarely. In fact it's everywhere, in every town and city in the UK," he says. "Professionals involved with children need to know the tell-tale signs. The earlier abuse is identified, the earlier we can stop it." Barnardo's believes there are a number of warning signs that parents, teachers, social workers and police officers should be able to spot. These include young people who disappear from school and home, the secretive use of mobile phones and the internet, unexplained gifts such as new clothes, jewellery, mobile phones or money, and drug and alcohol abuse. Exploitation is in some way created by the conditions of society today, in that most at risk are young people already living tough lives - in particular, those in care, or from unstable families. There is the "teenage factor" any parent will recognise. Sexual exploitation is happening at the very point many victims are most vulnerable - during their transition from childhood to adulthood. As Lorena puts it: "I just wanted to get out of the house, when I had issues with my mum. I wanted my own space." 'They take advantage' For Louise, also 15, it was drinking that put her into danger. "I thought I was a big girl. I was about 12, 13, and I was drinking. It was causing me trouble. I got sexually assaulted, under the influence of drink," she says. This led to older men - late teens, deliberately targeting her. "They take advantage of you. You're not in a stable situation so you're going to be all flirty and thinking 'yeah I'm getting boys' attention'. They take advantage of you because you're younger." "They can tell you what you want to hear. They can tell you I'm going to buy you this, I'm going to buy you that. I'm going to be your prince charming." Her friends, were unable to help because "they were drunk too". The way in which technology has become part of young lives has also had an impact. Louise says mobile phone numbers are freely passed around and she admits: "I gave my number to someone I shouldn't have." There have been cases where abusers have given girls mobile phones, simply to keep them in touch. These are not cases where the victims are in any way responsible for what happens to them. Their age means, according to Barnardo's, "they cannot, legally consent to their own abuse". Coercive. Child sexual exploitation covers a broad range of offences. The Barnardo's case workers, who deal with dozens of abused girls, say they are concerned about the growing problem of gangs who encourage young girls to be members and then slowly move towards coercing them into organised sex, often involving a number of men. In one case a young man was abused, as part of his membership of a drug gang, to enforce his lower position in the hierarchy. Another concern is that abused women may be trafficked either around the UK or abroad. The Home Office has stressed the importance of not using the phrase "child prostitution" in recognition of the coercive nature of the crimes. Counsellors at centres around the UK are now dealing with the damage done to the young victims. Louise says it has changed her and made her tougher: "I'm not so gullible any more. I used to believe anything anyone said.

Article about young girls like older guys:
But he is far more likely to entice female mates than a younger man with a similar sports car. <,/p>,
At last we know why girls fall for older men. An ageing male flaunting a new Porsche may be the butt of derisive male jokes.

But he is far more likely to entice female mates than a younger man with a similar sports car. That is the surprising conclusion of zoologists who believe they have discovered the secret of one of society's most baffling mysteries: the phenomenon by which older males attract young female mates. It is, says zoologist Stephen Proulx, a matter of genetic strength. 'If males can display ostentatiously at that age then they really have to have something going for them,' he told The Observer . The theory therefore provides a new answer to the question: 'What on earth does she see in him?' In the past, it was assumed wealth was the key. As the saying ran: 'Girls like a man with a past but prefer one with a present.' Or as Caroline Aherne once asked Debbie Magee: 'So what first attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?' However, such interpretations do not explain why gold-diggers are nearly always female and why sugar parents are nearly always male. Why not the other way round? To get round this problem, scientists argued instead that the Woody Allens, André Previns, and Michael Douglases of the world make ladies flush simply because they are still around to look attractive. Their senior years display how strong are their genes. In other words, in our evolutionary past, when people generally pegged it in their twenties, the fact that a man made it to his sixties indicated he must have something very powerful going for him genetically, a trend that still produces biological effects. Similarly, the reverse process - younger males seeking older females - occurs far more rarely because a woman's fertility starts to decline in her mid-thirties, and terminates in the menopause, researchers added. However, the idea has been criticised because it does not explain why young women are not attracted to all older men. As a result, Proulx has put forward new findings in the Proceedings of the Royal Society - a theory that combines both the ideas of wealth and male longevity. It is the very fact that an older male can still display his munificence that really makes a female's head turn. A younger male may do so, but a potential mate does not know how long he is capable of maintaining that ostentation. It could be all over too quickly. In other words, any stag that can still display a fine set of antlers in the twilight of its years, or an old peacock that can still rustle up a first-rate plumage - or an ageing Lothario who can still sport a Rolex and a riverside apartment - has to be considered a major catch. Only a creature with really powerful genes can do that and therefore attract females who are, in general, the ones who choose partners while males wait to be selected.

50-year-old man accused of attacking women with water balloons. RICHFIELD, Minn. (WCCO) - Authorities said a 50-year-old man threw water balloons out of his car at nearly a dozen women.

While out for a jog just before Thanksgiving, Caitie said she was hit with a water balloon in Richfield, Minnesota. “So he threw it, it hit me on my arm and just kind of ricocheted over,” she said. At first, Caitie thought it was a prank, a kid playing a joke, until she saw the driver was not a teenager. “I didn’t even take myself seriously at first so I just called and said, ‘This is silly, but I need to report this,’” Caitie said. After talking with Richfield police, Caitie made a post on Facebook and comments poured in of others saying the same thing happened to them. Tricia Lortson said she initially just laughed it off. “It startled me, and turned around and looked, and oh, it was a, you know, a yellow water balloon,” she said. Court documents claim there were nine other victims identified by the Richfield Police Department hit by water balloons all thrown from the same car over the last few months. “All of the victims in the water balloon attacks are females, showing a clear bias against women,” according to the court documents. The alleged bias makes the 14 charges faced by the 50-year-old man more serious. “He’s targeting women and women only. Women who are alone for the most part. Women who are in their yards with their kids. Women who are walking their dog,” Caitie said. Though the man is charged, he is not yet in police custody. Court records show the man was convicted of a felony, soliciting prostitution, back in 2012. Copyright 2025 WCCO via CNN Newsource. All rights reserved.

— Love. Exploring an age gap relationship? Understand what makes them work, common challenges, and how to build real connection at any age.

The Truth About Age Gap Relationships. I was in an age gap relationship – here’s what you should be cautious about. Age gap relationships are often romanticized in movies and media, but the reality of dating someone much older or younger is far more complex. While I acknowledge that some couples with significant age differences do make it work, they appear to me to be the exception rather than the rule. And even in those rare cases, the effort required to sustain such a relationship may not be suitable for everyone. Here’s what to know about age gap relationships based on my experience and observations. Defining the Age Gap. There is no universal rule for what constitutes too big" of an age gap, but in my mind, 10 years is a good benchmark. A four-year difference still keeps you in the same cohort in high school, and a five- or six-year gap is negligible in later adulthood. However, once the gap reaches 10 years (particularly if one partner is under 60) it starts to feel significant. Of course, these are just rough estimates based on my personal experiences and observations. My Perspective: A 19-Year Age Gap Relationship. I was in a relationship with someone 19 years older than me, beginning when I was just 19 years old. At that age, I was open-minded and convinced that "age is just a number." I don’t judge my younger self for thinking that way, but I do now scrutinize the motivations of the older person in such a dynamic. From my experience, when someone seeks out a partner significantly younger than themselves, it often stems from one of the following reasons: They are emotionally stuck at a younger age. They want to be with someone more pliable and impressionable, ‘easier to get along with/doesn’t have baggage’. They seek control over their partner, whether consciously or unconsciously.

Article about girls who love older men:
Teenage girls want relationships with older men – that’s why it’s men’s responsibility to say no. You know the one. A young woman with metric f**ktonnes of attitude and sexual agency goes after a neurotic man.

In this case the girl in question (though we might as well go full Nabokov and call her a nymphet) is fifteen. And she comes on to Jude Law who is in his fourties. Similarly, Chloe Grace Moretz is starring in the grim looking I Love You, Daddy. (Yes, they are making a film called that). The upshot of these films is broadly speaking the same. Beautiful young women striving for relationships with men considerably older than them. The response to the news that these films are being made is one of disgust. People are asking why, they’re questioning in what world Elle Fanning and Jude Law feels like an appropriate romantic pairing and some people have suggested that it’s unlikely that a woman that young would want to be with a man that old. That last point is where my issues start. More Trending. I wanted the best dancer to win Strictly Come Dancing - until now. Channel: TV TV 1 day ago By Adam Miller. I might not like it, you might like it, and we might all wish that is wasn’t true, but the thing is, teenage girls do fancy older men. They do desire them. When we pretend that teenage girls don’t have a sexual identity, or that they don’t ever find older men attractive, we ignore the problem. When we ignore the problem, we allow it to flourish. I attended an all girl Catholic boarding school where there was, as you can imagine, sweet FA in terms of male attention to be had. I had always assumed that man-drought was the reason that most of us developed a passionate crush on a teacher at some point in our school career. But having spoken to women who were raised in slightly less bizarre circumstances, I’ve revised that assumption. It’s not just girls who go to school in the middle of nowhere with no boys to flirt with who form passionate romantic obsessions with male teachers. It happens at every school, in every town, all over the world. Don’t we all have that friend who dated an ‘older’ guy when she was at school? I have more stories than I can count of sneaking out of school to meet up with men in their twenties and thirties so that we could drive around in his car drinking the alcohol he’d brought us and sneaking an illicit cigarette. (Picture: Getty) When you’re a teenager it doesn’t take much to make you feel sophisticated. Drinking, smoking and the ability to drive feel like the trifecta of adulthood, and if you’ve got even two of the three, you’re impressive. Dating a teenager is a particularly intoxicating opportunity for men who struggle with women their own age. The benefit of being an older man is that you’re able to attract more conventionally attractive girls. A younger woman will look up to you. She’ll listen to you. She’ll see you as wordly, she’ll see you as impressive. If you tell her she’s ‘mature’ for her age, she’ll believe you. Which is exactly why men have a responsibility not to pursue younger women. Even a small age gap – mid teens to early twenties, still carries this kind of imbalance. The vast majority of men would never want to accidentally take advantage of a younger woman. When it happens it’s not motivated my malice or designed to be predatory. It’s because they don’t realise that they’re acting from a position of power. Woody Allen. (Photo by James Devaney/GC Images) I draw a line in my head between the older men I fancied at a teenager who resolutely refused to engage with it, and those who indulged it or even courted it. There were teachers who let me embarrass myself with clumsy childish flirting but never encouraged me for a second. I feel intensely grateful to them now. I would have done literally anything that they wanted. There were also people who weren’t so scrupulous. A boss who groped me whenever he could. Older men at parties who made comments about my body or came on to me. I remember them too. And I wish they’d known that I didn’t fancy them because they were interesting or attractive, but because they seemed powerful to me. They weren’t powerful. They were sad men who were dazzled by youngness and flattered by my attention. They didn’t pause to think about the fact that I would remember how they ran their hands over my body or asked me if I was ‘still a virgin’. But I remember. Ten years later I remember in technicolour detail, and I judge them. So Woody Allen isn’t wrong to make his film again, at least not per se. He’s wrong about lots of other things, but the storyline of a young woman falling for an older man is an accurate one. I just wish that for once the older man would brush her off and encourage her to go off and find someone a little closer to her age to explore with, at least until she reaches the status of a legal adult.
