Despite some hiccups along the way, like him falling for me and me shutting that down, it been a great friendship all around. I can depend on this person to have my back, we can talk deeply with one another, if I'm in a financial bind I know he has my back as I do his, it just one of those partnerships where you don't find a lot, and he is one of my very small list of good friends that I have. I'm saying this first because I know some people will advise me to let this friendship go and while I understand and get it, I don't wont to let go of my friend either. He has to do something really f-up for me to let it go. So why do I suspect this friend might have some spy activity on my phone? Well, first, he has a history. I caught him trying to secretly download a spying couples app on my phone once before ( this app would access my private messages and location). We had a big falling out about it. He explained that he was afraid of something happening to me and he wanted to track my phone so that if anything does happen, he be able to find me. I countered with why in the world would he choose an app that access my personal messages and he kept saying he only cared about the location function. After a while, I did forgive him and we moved past it, but I told him I wont ever let him use my phone alone again. Well now some things have come up that makes me suspicious that he has something on my phone. For one, he knows when I start browsing on my phone in the morning. This confuses me greatly. Now I know facebook apps will tell you when a friend is browsing or active on it, but I'm not on facebook when this happens( I rarely go on there). All I do is get up and google things, and all of a sudden my friend will message me soon after. How does he know when I'm active? I don't turn off my phone during the night so it is always on, so it not like he gets a message that my phone has been turned on. He knows when I'm actively using it. I pushed it off as simple coincidence and good timing, but there have been many times where I get on my phone and he message me soon after and it leaves me stumped. It like he gets a notification whenever I'm actively surfing the internet. Recently, I had a man message me on facebook and relentlessly pursue me. Despite me trying to patiently tell him I wasn't interested, he kept messaging me. During that time, my friend causally mentions about how much he loves his ignore feature on facebook and this sent alarm bells through me. Sure, this could have simply been coincidental, but it just seemed too convenient for that to be the case. I suspect he found a way to read my facebook messages. This friend has also, in the past, read what I wrote in the forums he knows I post in, so once again, I wouldn't be surprised. Now he has not had one on one access to my phone so I don't know how he could have installed it, but recently I did lose my phone and to find it, we used his phone to try and locate it in which I did log into things to get it tracked, buut it was simple location and I made sure he deleted it afterwards. Am I just being paranoid or is this the signs of a person tracking my phone activity? If so, how do I find out what it is he has on me and does this sound like any known app to you? Summary: Good friend I know for years has a history of attempting to install a spy app that will let him see my messages and location. He said he never do it again but recently I notice he knows when I am actively surfing the net, and some recent things he said to be me made me suspicious that he might have access to my facebook messages as well.
