I’d been thinking of something new to post and decided to come up with something more helpful to our brothers. I call this the “Relationship Survival Guide”. This guide serves to answer questions on how to get on a main girl path or answer the “What did I do wrong” questions. We get those a lot in here so I thought I’d provide a resource to help people either stay the course or figure out what they did wrong. This is NOT meant to serve as an all encompassing walkthrough (in fact all of this can be still be found in DPCs official walkthrough on his Patreon). This is a more abridged guide to help players keep on the paths they want to follow. The structure of this guide is to help players know how to get on, stay on, or get off any main LI route in the game. In this game, the relationships are forged more by individual decisions rather than RP. RP, as of episode 8, only really matters to help tell you what type of girl the LI is, what she likes, and for like…a handful of extra actions in scenes with Maya and Josy. I’ll format this by including moments that are pivotal for those routes, along with some opinion recommendations, and a little of my own analysis. Again, this isn’t an official walkthrough of every possible choice, it is just a brief guide to help get the path you want. Mods, if this is against the rules, please let me know and I’ll take it down. Intro: This route probably shocks a lot of new players. Aside from being easy to mess up and probably the biggest twist in the game thus far, it’s a relationship type that is extremely uncommon. I actually didn’t think they’d even consider accepting the first time I played. However, they both offer opposite perspectives where Maya embraces her emotional bond to the MC while learning how to become more sexual and Josy embraces the sexual part of her relationship with the MC while learning how best to handle the emotional aspect of it. Of all the VNs I’ve played that tried a Throuple, this one seems the most well done (not that I’m Poly IRL, it just has the best setup and they all seem to care about each other). This relationship can offer you the best of both worlds, because as we all know: Two is better than one (bad joke, sorry). How to get on the route: By the DIK library scene in Episode 4 you must have attained the following: One or both of Josy’s episode 2 lewd and Maya’s episode 3 lewd. Basically MC must have at least attempted to fuck one or both of them. CHICK or Neutral AFFINITY NOT STATUS. You must have picked at least 3 CHICK major choices. A simple way of doing this: Turn down Quinns restaurant (I recommend this on all non-Others playthroughs), Don’t accept Jades advances (MJ blocks her later), Don’t smoke weed (all this yields is a scene with Quinn, which is blocked after joining MJ). You can also comfort Steve since it so far appears to not remotely impact the plot. Especially if you want to lean more Neutral/CHICK for them. If you are DIK affinity at this scene , they will turn you down. Get off/avoid route: Fail to do all of the above by The DIK library scene in Ep 4 or just say you want to be friends. Complete: Select Josy &, Maya in Episode 8. As of writing this, I believe you can select them even if you flip to DIK in later episodes. However, I don’t know how that works out long-term. Analysis: This has a bit of an annoying setup, but once you get there, you can’t fall off the wagon. Newer players usually fail this because affinity isn’t really discussed until Episode 3. I believe each girl will start to notice if you are favoring the other too much (you can still pick Maya in 5 and 7 without Josy having an issue as long as you seduce her at Ep 7s beginning). The two cannot be pursued solo as of yet which can bother some who are hardcore fans of one of the two. Recommendations (my opinion): Don’t become PermaDIK. Don’t do Quinns restaurant. Don’t get a BJ from Becky. Do as little sexual with Quinn as possible. Get Patrick to like you. Try and be balanced with the girls. May want to be careful around the Pink Rose girls based on MJs reaction in Ep 8 to that Rooster pic. Intro: Sage gets the distinction of being both the earliest and the latest route you can get on depending on your choices. She’s also by far the easiest to get on (very clear what you’re supposed to do) and ironically it’s easier to get on her route by accident rather than miss it. You get two opportunities for it to happen as well. Despite initially appearing superficial, this hot red-head is probably the Quinntessential (see what I did there?) “Don’t judge a book by its cover” girl. Get on the Route - Fuck Buddy track: Starts off as her fuck Buddy cheating on Chad, but then leads to an actual relationship. This requires you to agree to teach her guitar in Episode 2 and then accept her advances while teaching. I don’t know if you have to accept her kiss after showing her the video of Chad. But you definitely don’t need to stay with her during the shots party. Get on the Route - Friends to Lovers track: Starts out only as friends with Sage, but then heads toward an actual relationship the episode after she and Chad break up. The easiest way to do this is to turn down teaching her guitar in Episode 2 or turn down her advances when teaching guitar in Episode 2 or 3 (this may need to be verified). Then pursue her when given the option in Episode 7 at the HOTs party. Avoid route: Begin the set up of the “friends to lovers” track and then turn her down at the HOTs party in episode 7. Complete: Select Sage in Episode 8. As far as I’m aware there’s nothing that tanks the relationship as of Ep. 8 and she does not require any special affinity. Analysis: I kinda like the variation in this route. To get the most out of it, you need the Fuck Buddy Route. However, DPC did include an option for players who are opposed to being with someone that’s openly cheating, but still want to be with Sage. A lot of people don’t quite realize how early this route can start and there’s no way to stop it until the final choice. Which makes it awkward if you really did just wanna be a fuck Buddy with your eyes on someone else. Which probably surprises some players when in Ep.7 MC is all like “I’m catching feels”. Shows that the MC is definitely his own character. Personally I feel like DPC took Rena from AL, split her story/arc/setup in half, and made Sage and Bella. Sage gets the more fun “I don’t really care who you sleep with within reason prior to becoming official with me” part of Rena. |
